Experience

I am Biology & Chemistry Teacher at Xavier, a college preparatory school, in located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. I have also taught middle school math and an innovative and engaging course in “Car Science”. My many years of experience in various engineering roles in the semiconductor, manufacturing, energy, software and telecommunications industries - enables me to connect my lessons to practical applications of the subject matter.

I have nearly 20 years of experience of coaching youth and high school sports. I have been voted the CHSAA League Coach of the Year in 2012. I started a high school varsity lacrosse program from scratch; going 1-13 our first year to winning the conference championship in 4 short years. I understand how to create an environment of high achievement for my students. I also have some very practical experience with students - my daughter is a junior in college studying Biology and my son is a sophomore, majoring in Computer Engineering. When not coaching lacrosse I enjoy spending time with my children, swimming, kayaking, fishing, photography, staying physically fit, culinary adventures, and 'chef-ing' it up in the kitchen.
