If you want to improve your writing or your children's writing, then I am confident that I will be able to help you. With a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, I understand what polished work looks like. It is my opinion that effective writing isn't simply about forming grammatically correct sentences. While that is certainly an important part of it, effective writing is also about knowing how to both argue and persuade while remaining eloquent. When working with a student, I believe that it is important that he or she pays attention to completing the matter at hand in a relaxed environment where writing and working feels comfortable. When reviewing a student's work, I often divide errors into two categories: repeated occurrences and one-time issues. I then instruct the student on how to fix the problems in speaking directly with the student.One major achievement of mine as a student was completing a full-length novel with the help of a five-time Pulitzer Prize nominee as my editor. I also have experience as both a proofreader and a research assistant for a healthcare company and a Princeton historian, respectively.When I am not tutoring or working, you can find me cheering (or at least wanting to cheer) for the New York Giants. I also enjoy music and have a record collection.
