I received my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Purdue University and my PhD in Chemical Oceanography from Florida State University. Throughout my educational career I have tutored students of all ages in numerous subjects and taught English to non native speakers of all ages. My love for math and science makes it easy for me to break these sometimes challenging subjects down to their basic concepts in order to give students the building blocks they need to achieve academic success. I have a true passion for chemistry and had the opportunity to teach many college classes in the field and to mentor students at the university lab. Some of the subjects I tutor include elementary and middle school math, geometry, statistics, algebra 1 & 2, trigonometry, biology, chemistry, microbiology, physical chemistry, biostatistics, astronomy, reading, writing, Spanish, literature, history, social studies, and general study skills. Education is a lifestyle for me and I can't imagine a life without continued learning opportunities or the ability to share my knowledge with students. It is my goal to create a fun learning environment and reduce academic stress for my students so they are able to become fully engaged in the learning process. Their success is my highest priority.
