20 years general business experience in the New York publishing industry, with staff training and workshop expertise. 4 years ESL teaching experience, helping adults from a variety of countries improve their English language skills, adapt to new cultural norms, and function better in work and business environments. I work with a global relocation firm tutoring foreign professionals and their families, and have taught English and workforce readiness classes at LaGuardia Community College in NYC. I use real-world examples to teach the language - incorporating newspapers, magazines, films, TV and social media. And, when possible and appropriate, field trips to relevant places of interest. I am also willing to use Skype to work with students, if remote tutoring is preferred.
