Learning is an essential component of a fulfilling life. As a teacher, I am inspired by the enthusiasm of my students. I have found that most students are eager, and capable, of taking any necessary steps to deepen their expertise in a subject. However, studying any subject takes work and determination, and I offer dependable, solid support. Over the years, I have developed many teaching skills that help my students make progress in their academic pursuits. For example, in a literary work I highlight the core ideas of a chapter, then we focus on the core message of each paragraph. This helps to deduce the entire work's unique theme. I also recommend detailed note taking, cross-checking ideas for validation, and utilizing external references, like websites and books. I enjoy my work as a tutor, and I aim to be a long-term mentor for my students. I especially enjoy providing students with the basic skills they need to master mathematics and science, and I'm able to tutor students in a wide variety of these courses. I can also help students preparing for the ACT, GRE, MCAT, PCAT, SAT, and TOEFL, and am happy to assist those who are taking AP- and IB-level courses. In my spare time, I enjoy dancing, painting, and reading.
