I attend McNair Academic High School (the 3rd best high school in the state and 43rd best in the nation) in Jersey City, NJ. I have maintained an honor roll for every marking period that I have attended. I am one of the few freshman in the entire country who has AP US History in freshman year.
Experience
-I don't have much experience for I started tutoring just a year ago, but from the final test results of my students last year, I believe I do well in teaching. - I got a 198/250 on my PSAT, a very high score for a freshman in a junior (10th Grade) test. I currently take all honors classes except history for I have AP US History and am one of the very few students who gets AP US History in freshman year. -There are multiple reasons why I want to be a tutor. Last year, my neighbor saw my grades and set me up to be the tutor for his son. After teaching his son for around 6-7 months and seeing how his results and scores changed, I was very happy and decided that if I can help other kids, we could do some work to help the planet. So, one reason why I want to be a tutor is because I like seeing change and I want to change (grades). Another reason why I have taken this step is because I would really appreciate the money. I am applying for a educational travel program to study architecture in Greece and Italy. The tuition for this program is quite expensive. To pay for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I would like the money through tutoring. -My high school, McNair Academic, is one of the best in the nation. In this method, the high school does not offer any normal or basic classes. Every class offered is an Honors class, meaning that it is longer and will contribute more heavily towards my GPA. I am also one of the few students in the country who has AP US History in freshman year.

Hobbies
I know it wouldn't seem like it, but I've got quite a crazy for crochet and knitting. I've been crocheting scarves for the entire year! I love, love, love books! Books are my life and I am always buried in them in my free time. I like to write as well. Keeping a diary from a young age, my writing skills are developed and well. I am also doing well in drawing. Again, portraits and drawings of nature aren't my strong suit but abstract art is truly a hobby of mine.
